Been pretty busy here lately and haven’t had much time to shoot. Took these early last fall with Tim Axford down in the Paint Rock Valley. The drive through there is just beautiful and because of the way the valley runs, fog from the river gets trapped. If you like misty mountain mornings, it’s a good place to go.
HDR (High Dynamic Range) has been out awhile. I’ve played with it, enjoyed it, showed it to friends, but it’s cool factor is definitely wearing off (for me at least). Under certain circumstances I think it can make very ordinary photographs interesting. This might be one of them.
I’ve driven on HWY 231 to Shelbyville TN many times. Each time I’ve passed these old barns and kicked myself for not having a camera. Finally back on birthday, Rebecca and I got a chance to stop and explore. They’re beautiful! Like two old men… brothers even. Watching the world drive by. Next time I’ll grab a GPS plot on the place and post it for those of you who might like to see.
Decided to change a few things up with a new blog platform (Wordpress) and a new design. Hope you like. Thanks goes out to Jay Soto for the theme. My site also has a mobile theme now, so if you use an iPhone or Android device, you can browse a little easier. This is an older image that I had in the archive… decided to have a little fun with it. If you don’t recognize the chap in the foreground that would be my brother Rusty. Feel free to comment… thanks for visiting.
